Yay, we closed on our condo on Friday and just couldn’t be happier! Our house hunting experience was both fun and frustrating and now we are just really excited that it’s over so we can get to the really fun part: creating a home.
The place needs a little love and a lot of pain and I can’t wait to share the process here. The kitchen, dining, and living space is one big open space with lots of natural light and high ceilings. I can’t wait to paint it all crispy white and rip out the carpet. But all of that is a whole other story so for now I’ll share some of the inspiration for the final result.
Justin likes leather couches where I’ve been needing a little time to warm up to the idea. Then I found this beautiful, brown leather couch for a VERY good price at one of my favorite thrift stores and then it couldn’t be any other way and I started pinning away. Here are some of my favorite inspiration pictures. As you’ll see, I like a lot of light (which, thankfully is already there, because that’s a tough one to design yourself out of!), a nice mix of natural materials like leather and wood, some douche colors mixed with moroccan influence. And plants, lots of plants! Take a look at some of my inspiration while I’m busy painting the ceilings!
