Last Thursday we were on the highway before the sun was up on our way to spend a long weekend in Nashville. Oh, and what a weekend! Nashville is such a beautiful city and I had the best company. We hit up our favorite southern fast food chains (Chick-fil-a and Cook-Out!) and discovered local favorites.
On the way through Kentucky we stopped at Mammoth Cave and even though we didn’t get to go on a tour deep in the caves since they had sold out for the day we could still enter. It was a really crazy to feel the cold air stream out from the opening as we got closer. Nature, huh? Really amazing!
When we made our way to Nashville, Justin’s brother took us to the legendary Loveless Café and the good ol’ country cooking really hit the spot after a long day on the road.
We stayed at a house right on the Cumberland River and the backyard and the view was just so gorgeous. And the cacti! I want one really bad now. The house was the perfect base for our exploring and tomorrow I’ll share some more pictures from our adventures around Nashville!
